Meet & Greet game: The details that went into the answers were amazing. We had 15 minutes to get to know each other. A fun, deep touching moment happened with a young lady who lost her mother a few months ago , June 1st would have been her mother’s birthday.
The food was suggested via Facebook. It was fabulous no salt, no pepper and the mashed potatoes were perfect! The veggies were the highlight of my evening. Thank you So City catering. The give a ways were outstanding as well. This mixing and mingling of sisterhood was a positive experience and then also the amount of education and life experiences shared made it even more amazing.
Michelle Solomon Addo is destined with massive purpose , at dinner she broke out into an emotional song “It’s Your Time To Shine”. Then Pastor Butts said there are 3 things u need to know to be empowered 1. purpose 2. plan and 3. promise. She deeply expressed that women have to know their “Worth” , you have to see true value within yourself before anyone will make sure that you are ready to be that wife. Be sure that you still have strength within your self to walk away if it is not a fit. To not allow anyone to use you for what they need, make sure you "KNOW YOUR WORTH TO LOVE, GROW AND LIVE"!
Later on we had a slumber party, pizza and pop as we spoke about the 3 things as women that stops us from being the greatest, your fears , inadequacy or being lazy!
These women spoke about many different things from children to not having education, struggles etc. What I learned was we are beautiful strong women of color and we need to stop letting the world stop what we feel is our truth. You can’t pour into others families, kids, husbands, life partners, careers or (another persons dream) until you pour into self to grow and sew positive seeds in life!
Day two: Elder Michelle Solomon Addo opened up the morning singing and it really touched the ladies, had some up on their feet dancing, shouting and just enjoying the atmosphere as she sung… “I’m chasing after you more and more”!
Dr. Adaya Schwartz had a amazing story she shared as she gave us a true experience with her words of wisdom. Lost in the streets was a true testimony to show that no matter what road you walk you can come out a champion! God is always on time may not be your time but it will be on time
! Forgiveness is needed to live and in order to fulfill your greatness and walk in your purpose. The spirit was so strong that the gentleman (Anthony) that was a part of the carting team requested to be prayed for and said he was ready! The energy was so strong and beautiful. When you are ready you will know it and begin to live your best life (Cardi B Voice). They celebrated , prayed and told him he is the head, the leader and the king! Those are words of life that should be spoken to each and ever black man young and old so they will know their worth!
The final session (Revaluation of a Woman ) was with the wonderful Pastor Demetra Sanderfer who did an exercise that four questions. 1. What is “It”? 2. What are you “Worth”? 3. What will you “Start” ? And 4.What will you “Stop” ? Start looking at your life in a way that you can make it a come up! Pastor Dee is straight forward and to the point she provoked you with her words and her animation. She had you thinking and drew you in with her high energy and abundance of energy.
I just want to give a special thanks for Bishop Barnett for creating such an amazing woman in the image of God, she is truly a blessing to so many and partially because of the servitude, giving, genuine, caring seeds sewed in her from the start!
