We lost a real one August 21, 2017 . Gavin was the greatest in my eyes. He went by the name "King Bee” aka "My Boo"! He was the salt of the earth. You know how so many people want to say all these good things about you when you are gone ? Not in this case , I wish I wasn't having to type this at all. It has taken me awhile to be able to put my thoughts and my love into words for this guy. He was always him and true to him. He didn't care what anyone had to say and he lived his life the best way he knew how. He was so transparent and you knew where he was coming from at all times. Gavin was a superstar with a heart of gold, in fact he was one of the brightest lights at WUGR and had a million dollar smile that could melt any heart!

I have so many things to say about this guy. I will just let my heart lead the way. When I first started dealing with WUGR back in 2009 / 2010 it was a good time. I met this group of people that were wonderful. Jayanna Fabro (my girl) , Neswordz , who we lost this year as well (rip), Philly P King Bee (rip) . Everyone was full of dreams, hope, passion and personality. Now, if you know me I am a little funny acting but I always liked King Bee, we hit it right off because he had on a Lil Kim shirt and I love her ! I put two and two together, his name was "King Bee" and she is "Queen Bee" duhhhh!!!! lol we were cool from there on out.

Gavin went head on with some people , he never strayed away from sharing his thoughts no matter who you were and how you weren’t ish ! One time at the Ohio Hip Hop Awards Jayanna didn't get the award she should have gotten (if we went off stats and body of work but this is not the time for that ) he turned out and didn't give a "f” who, what, where or why. You know what ? I loved every minute of it !

We got in trouble one time for being on the air at an event talking about a legend. Her people called and told her, so we lost the interview. Corporate (Chris) was so mad at us, he gave us a lecture like we were school kids . We said "oh well " ( beep, beep ,beep ) and laughed it off . Corp cleaned up our mess but we couldn't get any interviews for a while. Then finally he let us do an interview with Rashida from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.

Gavin and I worked together at a job that we both couldn't stand, he use to be that uplifting presences that I needed. Gavin started bartending and I would go to the bar he worked at just to get water and juice and he would dog me like "bitch why are you in here “ ? I would say just for the music, he knew there was this guy who was so cute and could dance that I was always looking at , he said "b**** you better go for what you know “ and I did … total waste of time but hey you win some, you lose some ! lol

The best time is when we found out Lil Kim was coming to Columbus, Ohio. We were so excited. We don’t do heat or outside very well but being big time fans we went in there acting so stuck up and star struck at the same time. Janice just laughed at us the whole night. Gavin and I sung and danced to every song that came on. We cried and hugged . Lil Kim even touched my hand. (#groupiemoment )

When we went to the side of the stage to meet her, some class-less guys started to act a fool and they shut it down. King Bee and I were so mad . We went outside and this guy name KenBarbi (rip) was there, we followed the bus to the hotel. Lil Kim told us she loved us, we said we love you Kim. lol

Goodness when I think of King Bee, I think of happiness , love and light. He was a true life angel on earth. He was not perfect but he was perfectly him. As I write this there are tears in my eyes because he was the definition of joy. I remember so many good times and we had so much fun just being loud and laughing and turning out. Him joining the Truth Reloaded (radio show on WUGR ), always being there for people, caring, helping and being the best human he could be. It was a joy to know him and to call him my friend. Gavin is truly loved and nothing can take away the mark he left on so many peoples . He made a lot of difference from just being true!

Thank you for being you and forever shining. so to my Lil Kim loving twin, I love you and rest easy King Bee, there will never be another like you! Until we meet again and sing Lil Kim records!
